Provider orders labs via EHR

As ordering providers attend to patients, they input the specific labs required for each patient into their EHR (Electronic Health Record).

Extract and Dispatch Lab Order

A designated Riceland team member, acting as the dispatcher, will be granted access to your practice's EMR. We will extract the orders and patient demographics. Subsequently, the dispatcher will contact the patient to schedule the mobile phlebotomy appointment.

The Logistics

The mobile phlebotomist will travel to the patient's residence to collect the necessary samples for testing

Receiving Your Results

Once the samples arrive at the lab, the subsequent handling will vary based on the specific test. Results will either be transmitted via fax or uploaded onto the provider portal for your convenient access.
